day at dinner. The Brahmins said, "There is no preparations,
there is no foodgrains, how will you feed us?" Lord said,
"You concerned with the dinner only not with the cooking materials.
If I can't feed, I'll be disgraced." They agreed.
At the time of cooking, the Brahmins saw the heaps of all

Gadhada, Shree Gopinaathji Maharaj
|
History: By the request and deep love of Dadakhachar
and his two elder sisters Jaya (Jivuba) and Lalita (Laduba),
Lord Swaminarayan stayed at Gadhada for 25 years making it as
the center of His divine mission. On the very same place, by
their request, Lord Swaminarayan got constructed a huge temple
under His own supervision or the supervision of Viraktanand
Swami in His absence. In the middle temple, He installed Gopinathji
and Radhikaji, in the western side Dharmadev, Bhaktimata and
Vasudev, in the eastern side Suryanarayan (the Sun God). All
were installed in Vikram Samvat year 1885 on the twelth day
of the bright half of the month of Ashwin (Aaso Sud 12),
on Saturday, October 9, 1828 A.D.
The idol of Gopinathji
was engraved by Narayanji Mistry completely fit to Lord's
bosy in every respect. Narayanji used to measure Lord's body
very often. Lord was not steady at gadhada. So, Lord gave
him television power, so that he could see Lord in front of
him even if He might be hundreds of miles away. When the idol
was ready, Lord absorbed in it and said, "it is quite fit
and appropriate to my bosy." Lord Himself had done too much
physical labor work in the construction of this temple by
carrying bricks and rocks from the bank of Ghela river to
the temple site.
